We went to Leif Erikson Park in Duluth, we started off by taking pictures for our five year anniversary (which was the day before) in the gazebo, then she went on to take a few portraits for her resume for when she graduates. As she was taking her portraits, I waited for her to turn around and I got down on one knee. I told her how I had the ring hidden for 3 months and wanted to give it to her everyday but knew I had to make it special for her, it was so hard keeping that secret from her. I gave her a sweet little speech in the freezing wind next to the lakeside, she said yes, and we got to continue on with engagement pictures. She told me she couldn't believe how perfect the ring looked and how well all the pieces came together. She said yes and now we are in the beginning phases of wedding planning!
